Managing Workflows
This page covers the management actions you can take on an existing workflow: renaming, duplicating, copying items to another workflow, starring, and deleting.
To access these actions, click the Settings (gear ⚙) icon on any workflow card to open the edit menu.
Renaming a workflow
- Click the gear icon on the workflow card.
- Select Rename.
- Enter the new name.
- Click Save.
Workflow names must be unique within your organization.
Starring a workflow
Click the star icon (☆) in the top-left corner of any workflow card to mark it as a favorite. Starred workflows are highlighted in yellow and appear when you filter the list by Starred.
Click the star again to remove it.
Duplicating a workflow
Duplicating creates a brand-new workflow that is a full copy of the original — including its skill and actions. Devices are not copied.
- Click the gear icon on the workflow card.
- Select Duplicate.
- Enter a name for the new workflow.
- Click Save.
The new workflow will appear in your list. You can then add devices and sync it independently.
Copying items to another workflow
The Copy Items To… option lets you copy the skill and actions from one workflow into another existing workflow. This is useful when you want to apply the same skill configuration to a different set of devices without creating an entirely new workflow.
- Click the gear icon on the workflow card.
- Select Copy Items To….
- Choose the target workflow from the list.
- Optionally toggle Replace Items In Target Workflow — if enabled, the target workflow's existing skill and actions will be replaced. If disabled, the items will be merged.
- Click Save.
If you enable Replace Items In Target Workflow, the target workflow's existing skill and actions will be overwritten.
Deleting a workflow
- Click the gear icon on the workflow card.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
When a workflow is deleted, it is first soft-deleted and, if devices need to be cleaned up, a final sync is automatically triggered to uninstall the skill from all associated devices. The workflow remains visible (with a strikethrough) until that removal sync completes. If the workflow has no devices that require cleanup, it is removed immediately.
Deleting a workflow will uninstall the skill from all devices that were running it. This cannot be undone.
